MWC 2019: 5G, foldable devices and cameras
Until 28 February, as every year Barcelona hosts the most important mobile fair, the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2019). In addition to the 4YFN 2019, event for startups. Over 2,400 leading companies and 107,000 attendees are coming together at Fira Gran Via and Fira Montjuic to discuss the latest innovations and explore the hottest topics influencing the industry. This year the leading mobile and high-tech companies are showcasing innovations ranging from 5G to foldable mobile designs.
Some examples of mobile innovations introduced on the first day of the congress have been: Huawei’s new folding mobile, suitable for 5G (Huawei Mate X), Xiaomi’s new 5G mobile (Xiaomi Mi 9), Nokia’s new mobile with 5 cameras in the back (Nokia 9 Pureview) or Sony’s new mobile with a screen longer than usual (21:9), inspired by cinema screens (Xperia 1).
But this event is not only about mobiles, it covers eight core themes around which conversation are flowing: “Disruptive Innovation” will try to identify the big changes of our future, “Artificial Intelligence” explores the profound impact of this new technology, “Industry 4.0” will look at the internet of things, “Digital Wellness” discusses mental health and smartphones, “Connectivity” will focus on the business and cultural challenges brought forth by 5G, “The Future” will try to envision what the world will look like in 2028, “Immersive Content” focuses on the expectations of AR and VR, and “Digital Trust” will focus on the ethics and regulations of data.
On this days, many companies such as SEAT, SAP and ZTE have introduced their innovations. A new prototype of hyper-connected electric car with 5G (SEAT), an integrated technology that generates and drives digital transformation for industrial IoT and Industry 4.0 (SAP) and a 5G Custom Intelligent Network (5G-PIN) developed by ZTE and China Telecom. 4YFN 2019: technological startups with a lot to bring
Over three days, 4YFN 2019 (MWC Start-up Event) will showcase the latest tech startup innovations from around the world. Featuring curated content, startup pitches, competitions and dedicated networking sessions. Over 19,000 visitors and around 600 investors will meet more than 600 startups from 145 countries.

From 4YFN have emerged important projects such as Badi, an app to find rooms for rent, or TravelPerk, specialized in business travel.
This edition (4YFN 2019) shows innovative and disruptive companies that use technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Advanced Data Analytics and Internet of Things (IoT).
For example ORQUEST, a smart workforce scheduling software based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) that impact directly on sales and client satisfaction. This solution optimize the HR processes in restaurants and stores with an incredible ROI (Return On Investment).
